COURSE STRUCTURE

Daily Practice

  • Each day you will practice parts of the classical ashtanga yoga primary series as created by Pattabhi Jois. Over the weeks you will gradually build until finally you can practice the full series.

Analytics & Workshops

  • In analytics class you will examine each pose one by one to learn correct alignment, technique, transitions and modifications. Workshops include injuries, adjustments, meditation and pranayama.

Anatomy & Physiology

  • Gain a deeper understanding of the structures and principles underlying each movement and of yoga itself. See how the spine, breathing, body positions and systems are all fundamentally linked.

Philosophy

  • Discover the true meaning of yoga through the wisdom of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. Examine the 8 limbs of ashtanga and cultivate an authentic yogic lifestyle through the yamas and niyamas.

Teaching and Exams

  • Record yourself teaching each week building up to a complete 75 minute class for the final exam. An instructor will examine your class and give you feedback for you to reflect and grow.

Live Classes
